The Hair Bow Company was founded in 2008 by Krissy Sexton, a mom of four who couldn't find a simple white hair bow for her daughter's first birthday photos. What started as handmade clips sold on eBay has grown into a family-owned hair bow shop that has sold more than 2 million bows. We carry bows in every size from 2.5" bitty bows to 6.5" Texas-size bows, plus headbands, tutus, custom bows for schools and teams, and boutique outfits to match. We're an online-only shop, and every order is packed and shipped from our warehouse in League City, Texas, just outside Houston.

Being part of your special occasions has been such a blessing, from birthdays and first photos to cheer competitions, dance recitals, and national organizations' fun runs. We love seeing photos of a little one wearing our bows from birth until she's outgrown them, then passing them down to a younger sibling. Some of our customers have even dressed their pets in our tutus, and one couple (that we know of) got married in them! About The Hair Bow Company: Our Story
In 2008, after an unsuccessful last-minute search around our hometown for a white hair bow and an oh-so-trendy-at-the-time crochet headband for my daughter's first birthday photoshoot, I landed at Hobby Lobby to buy a spool of ribbon and barrettes and make my own bow. Realizing how hard it was to find them locally, I went online to order the other bows and headbands I needed, and I saw the need for a website that sold bows, flower clips, and crochet headbands at reasonable prices.
I started the business with a $500 investment, selling crochet clips and handmade flower clips on eBay from my house. Regular customers kept asking me to create a website, and in 2008 we launched thehairbowcompany.com. Over the years we've kept expanding our colors, sizes, and styles, and I've loved watching bow trends come and go.
We moved into our first warehouse in Pearland, TX in 2009, and before long we'd taken over a second one. In 2014 we consolidated into a larger Pearland warehouse, and in 2019 we moved to League City, TX, where we're located today. All of these years later, bows are still the heart of everything we do.
