I have another lovely and EASY craft for you today! I am not trying to insult your intelligence by giving you instructions for such an easy project, it's just that sometimes we don't see the possibilities until someone points them out.
So here you go friends, here are the possibilities!
Napkin rings are a simple way to add a little color and pop to your place setting. The supplies you'll need vary based on your taste. Ribbon, scissors, and glue are the must-haves!
For my first napkin ring, I wanted to use ribbon and a flower clip.
It looks cute just like that, but I wanted to add a bit more color so I added a flower.
If you use flower clips, each attendant will go home with a fun party favor! It sure makes assembly quick. Just slide the alligator clip through the ribbon.
For a more personalized touch, you can add a monogrammed flower center. Choose the letter of the birthday girl, or make one for each party-goer. Just use a tiny dab of glue to attach it to the ribbon. It should be able to pull right off after the party so you can reuse them.
These napkin rings can be made for more elegant place settings as well. Just change up your color scheme and add a cloth napkin. I chose two coordinating ribbons this time, a 1.5" and a 7/8" style.
This time, instead of tying the ribbon, I cut a straight edge and glued it. (Be careful not to glue it to the actual napkin.) Do the same thing with the smaller ribbon, making sure it is centered.
I really loved the look of it like this. I thought it was simple but beautiful.
If you want to dress it up even more, add a flower. I chose our Satin Poppy Flower in silver because I wanted to pull out the silver from the plate.
Isn't that gorgeous? It would look absolutely stunning if there was an entire table of them!
Have fun with this. Experiment! Our ribbon is only $0.69-1.69 for a 5 yard spool, so play around and create something fun for your next party. Fourth of July is coming up, how about a blue napkin with red and white ribbons?
