Inverted Twist Tutorial

This week's style tutorial is an inverted twist. These are great for keeping hair out of your daughter's face so she can play. It's also pretty cute!
Gather your supplies: A comb, detangling spray, a rubber band, and a flower clip.
Part hair an inch from the middle of the hairline to have more hair on one side of the head. On the side with more hair, grab a small bit of hair right on the part line. Grab about a half inch subsection. Divide this subsection into two parts.
Stylist Tip: Always use a comb to make parts. This will keep the line straight and clean.
Take the back piece of hair and put it over the front piece. Let the front piece fall on her head to the backside and pick up a little more hair with that section. You now have a new front piece and back piece.
Grab the new front section and twist it under the other piece, letting go and picking up a bit of extra hair again.
Continue this until you reach the back of her ear, swooping the hair backward.
Once you reach the back of her ear, take the two pieces of hair and twist them around each other. This time, do not pick up extra hair with each twist. Do this for 1-2 inches and then band the hair.
Stylist Tip: This extra twist allows you to rubber band the hair without loosening the ends or creating tight hairs that pull on her scalp.
Place the clip into the twist slightly above the rubber band.With the clip, grab some loose hair from the back of her head to secure the flower in place. If the clip is placed below the rubber band, it is likely to fall out.
Simple inverted twist! You don't have to be a stylist to pull this off, just read through the directions and watch the photos. This will be your new go-to style for your daughter!
