The temperature outside is rising, which means we are approaching that glorious time of year... sandal weather! Time to keep those tootsies cool and the toenails painted!

Looking for some fun shoes to wear with all of your new summer clothes without having to shell out for a closet full of new sandals? (I mean, not that buying new shoes is a BAD thing, but a girl should never turn her nose down at more options!) We have a great tip for accessorizing your flip flops!

Grab some flops you already own or buy a new pair you like. We found all of the ones in this post at our local Walmart for about $3 each, Old Navy usually has a variety of cheap flip flops also.

Choose a flower or bow that coordinates. To make it interchangeable, choose anything that has an alligator clip. (We sell alligator clips individually in case you need to attach a clip to a crafting flower.) To make it more permanent, use hot glue directly onto the strap.

It's really as easy as it seems, just clip the bow onto the strap of your flip flop! It lays best if you use the outer strap.

That took 2 seconds and now I have custom flip flops! If you clip it just right, the backside of the clip shouldn't rub your feet. We had two employees make custom flip flops for a festival we just participated in and after a full day of working, neither complained that the clip poked their feet.

Of course this tip isn't just for you, your girls would love to make their own flip flops too. What a fun party favor idea for a summer birthday!

*To be sure the orientation is correct, clip the marabou first, then glue the monogrammed flower center down.
